My final show at the very first day of fashion week was HUBERT.
The rather young woman behind the brand is Rikke Hubert.
The show in general was held on a rooftop in the center of Copenhagen. The catwalk itself was a square made of grass surrounded by a tribune for us to sit on. There was furthermore tree stumps containing dry ice – very fairytale like. It personally gave me a feeling of being in a upper-class, british sports club with a fairytale garden twist to it.
Some of the specific trademarks that was to be seen on the catwalk was the minimalistic features using simple colors, transparent fabrics and simple cuts to emphasize the female body. Clean, pure and simple. The legs certainly gets in focus with the high waists and bootycut shorts. To give the looks a little sporty edge HUBERT added a sequin suncap – matching the main theme pretty well.
Some of the models were rocking bags in a variety of shapes (round etc) with an added hair-like fringe detail. Some of the bodies and dresses had a similar twist to them.
